Jury Research & Consultation

OBJECTIVES

Litigation Research Technologies, Inc. utilizes social science research methodology to evaluate and assist in the preparation of important cases for trial.  We provide the advantage of pretesting how jurors will respond to case issues, arguments and strategies prior to trail.

Our Research Studies Are Designed To:

  • Identify salient issues and persuasive arguments that represent the critical focus of the case;

  • Determine probable verdict and estimated damage award to assist in settlement decisions;

  • Pretest comprehensibility of complex or controversial evidence and testimony;

  • Enhance the effectiveness of witness testimony;

  • Maximize the impact of demonstrative evidence;

  • Obtain a favorable jury panel through statistically developed juror profiles and voir dire questioning;

  • Determine community standards, attitudes and beliefs.

PROCEDURE

LRT Research utilizes jury deliberation panels, focus groups, attitude surveys and other research methodology to assess potential reactions to evidence, witnesses, documents, attorneys, exhibits and instructions.  Further, we pretest for psychological, emotional or non-legal factors, which may affect the outcome of a case.  Our innovative research techniques have been carefully adapted from the social sciences for utilization in litigation analysis.  With these procedures, we help attorneys understand the perceptions, biases, and prejudices that people bring with them to the courtroom, and how they will react to various aspects of the trial.  Consequently, we are able to recommend strategies and tactics to maximize the persuasive impact.

Our Sole Purpose and Specialization is conducting litigation research to evaluate and enhance litigation strategies and tactics.  All of our results and recommendations are derived from specific jury research studies designed and conducted to meet the needs of each case.  The results of our studies provide an objective, unbiased view of how jurors will react to the case.
